Modular Environments (WIP)

Procedural rooms and corridors

This is an unannounced project I'm working on with procedurally generated environments. All screenshots here are environments generated in-game, using art assets created by me.

Modularity

Due to the nature of procedurally generated interior environments, all the assets used to build the building itself have to be modular. At the moment, this project is in very early staged so the rooms are not filled and corridors not detailed.

Nanite Tessellation

The game is being made in Unreal Engine 5, which means I was able to use nanite tessellation for my materials. This has proved to be incredibly useful as it's allowed me to do the vast amount of shape work in Substance Designer, using only primitives for the meshes. The walls, floors and ceilings are all simple flat planes, with the pillars being simple cylinders.
